European Roulette

Introduction

European Roulette is a single zero roulette that consists of 36 numbers plus 0.

The player odds in European Roulette are better since players lose only 50% of their even-money wagers if the wheel stops on zero. This is known as the "La Partage" rule.

How to Play

Use your left mouse button to click on the chip that you wish to wager. Then place the chip/chips on the roulette table by clicking on the desired betting area. You can remove a wagered chip before the game begins by clicking on the wagered chip with your right mouse button. When you have placed your bets, click SPIN to start the game round. Click SAME BET to repeat the bet from the previous round.

Betting Rules

There are several types of roulette bets grouped into two categories: inside and outside bets. Each bet covers a different set of numbers and has a different distribution.

Designation Bet Description
Inside bets
1 Straight up A chip can be wagered on any individual number, including zero (0). The chip is placed directly on the individual number.
2 Split bet A chip can be wagered on any two adjacent numbers, by placing the chip on the line dividing the two numbers. Note that a chip can also be placed on the line dividing zero (0) and 1, 2 and 3.
3 Street bet Street bets cover three numbers. The chip is placed on the outer boundary line of the roulette table, next to the corresponding row of three numbers. Note that street bets can also be placed on 0,1 and 2 as well as 0, 2 and 3.
4 Corner bet Corner bets cover four numbers. The chip is placed on the cross where the four numbers intersect. You may also wager on 0, 1, 2 and 3 by placing the chip on the boundary line of the roulette table between 0 and 1..
5 Line bet A line bet covers two street bets i.e. six different numbers in two rows of three numbers. The chip is placed on the closest boundary line of the roulette table, where the line dividing the two rows intersects it.
Outside bets
6 Column bet On the short side of the roulette table there are three boxes marked 2 to 1. A bet placed in one of these boxes marks all twelve numbers above it (excluding 0).
7 Dozen bet A bet placed in either one of the three boxes marked 1st 12, 2nd 12, or 3rd 12 marks twelve numbers.
8 Red/Black, Even/Odd and Low/High Bets A bet placed in one of the boxes on the long side of the table covers half of the roulette table numbers (excluding 0). Each box covers 18 numbers.
